Miller Lash House
Originally built circa 1913, the Miller Lash House is an example of the Arts & Craft Style. Although simple, the materials used to construct the house were extraordinary for the time. Poured concrete walls faced with river stone collected from the grounds, heavy pine beams and truss that support the cathedral ceilings and clay tiles for the roof and flooring create a space in keeping with the Craftsman principal of making a house harmonious with its natural surroundings.
Over the years the Miller Lash House had fallen into a state of disrepair and The Millennium Project took to the restoration of the house. Today, the house is used an event venue with both indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a serene setting for any special event.
Indoor Rooms: Great Room, Dining Room, Spruce Room, Birch Room, Maple Room, Redwood Room
Seating up to 50 guests, the inside of the Miller Lash House has high arched ceilings, wood trim, fireplaces and antique furnishings. With a screened porch, free parking and wheelchair access, this 12-room mansion sits on 375 acres of land and is an ideal spot for weddings and corporate retreats alike. The Great Room has boardroom seating for 30 guests and will hold 75 for a reception. The Dining Room can seat up to 30 guests at round tables. The Spruce, Birch, Maple, Redwood and Original Rooms all act as intimate settings for 8 people or less, or can be used as bridal suites and/or speakers rooms.
Outdoor Tented Patio
For larger receptions, the tented patio seats up to 220 guests and is available for the summer season. Surrounded by gardens, the patio overlooks the Highland Creek and can be rented with the additional use of the rooms in the house and the Rose Garden.
